Our goal at Iron Orca Studios is to create an environment that immerses the visitor in the moment. Whether its a rainforest or a desert canyon, a public exhibit or a private retreat, our focus is on detail because we understand the importance of creating a convincing up close and immersive experience.
Our rock is hand sculpted and textured over a steel armature using various proprietary techniques. We prefer this artistic approach for its seamless realism and overall flexibility.
Our trees, roots, and vines are also hand sculpted and finished using specially formulated rigid and flexible resins and epoxy. Mark developed some of our resin techniques which enable us to create a variety of botanically correct specimens that populate some of the country's most prominent zoos, museums, and habitats.
Seamless sculpting and texturing techniques, flexibility in shaping and armature, and continuous attention to detail allow us to provide our clients with an engaging exhibit that is greater than the sum of its parts.
